I only recommend products and services that I have used myself the same way I do when you visit me at my massage clinic.
1. Exfoliate the Body!
One of my favorite sugar is Majestic Pure 24K Gold Scrub with anti-aging properties and ingredients that you can read. A wonderful and refreshing exfoliating spa treatment at home. I've always been someone to share with my clients the things that work. If I don't make it my self, then I need to trust what I use and what I'm recommending.
2. Switch to Cream
My favorite is Shea Butter, Majestic Pure Shea Butter or Majestic Pure Mango Butter (when I need that hint of warm weather smell) for hydrating and protecting my skin all summer long. This is also an amazing treat for your feet and cozy warm socks while enjoying a fire at camp side (as many of you know I am into the outdoors). aah the smell of a campfire and the hydrating feeling of warm feet...
3. Water Temperature
Another way you can guard against the dehydrating scalding hot water is by doing an Ancient Ayurvedic ritual before your bath or shower call Abhyanga. Abhyanga is a self massage with herb infused oils that will benefit the body and nourish the skin, the self massage with oil is to be done before you step in the shower. Most days i use Banyan Botanicals Daily Massage Oil to balance out my Dosha other days I use Banyan Botanicals Sesame Oil, both will give you a detox and help to protect your skin from the harsh scalding showers.
Take your time massaging the oil into your skin, give your self 5-10 minutes before getting in shower or bath to let the herbs detox you and the oils soak in to your skin.
4. Drink Water
If your not hydrating with water your skin will show it!! Cola's, Tea and Coffee don't count toward the much needed hydration of water. If you can't stand the taste, add some fruit; lemon, raspberries, and other to get you to drink it..
For every cup of coffee you drink you should have one cup of water, Coffee is very dehydrating followed by black tea, that includes iced tea as it is brewed with black tea. So please hydrate with water!!
If you body is not trying to conserve the moister you have in your body it will help fight off those COLDS and FLU that spread so rapidly during the colder months. Keep yourself hydrated, well watered and your body will be able to fend off or minimize the cold you may get this winter season.. Take care of you and your body will have the hydration and energy to fight for you!!! Amazing thought!!
5. Chapstick and Sunscreen
